Technical detail and surface preparation

Each painting begins with rigid birch panel construction or gallery-wrapped stretched canvas. Multiple layers of archival gesso establish a stable foundation before acrylic pigments are built up using palette knives and fine brushes.

Works are sealed with an archival UV-protective varnish that preserves pigment integrity while offering a balanced satin finish. Paper studies utilize heavyweight cotton rag archival stock framed with floated mounting.
